Bottega Veneta Bag Price Guide 2026: New Shapes, How to Choose
October 17, 2026 · 9 min read

Look closely at a Bottega Veneta bag and the whole house is in the strips: two strands of leather woven together, by hand, over hours. Most people checking a Bottega Veneta bag price this autumn want two answers: what the bags cost, and what is new. Louise Trotter's second year at the house answers the second question clearly. Her reworked Veneta, the new Corso and the Il Mio minis build on the weave rather than starting over. Below, you will find reported retail prices with their dates, sources and markets, and a guide to which shape suits which kind of day.
Why Bottega Veneta is on more shortlists this autumn
The house has a long memory. Bottega Veneta was founded in 1966 in Vicenza, Italy, and was built on leatherwork, specifically Intrecciato, according to Wallpaper*. Grazia USA traces the technique to 1960s Venetian workshops, where artisans cut leather into strips and wove them because sewing machines struggled with thick hides. A practical solution became a signature.
What has changed is the pace of new shapes. Louise Trotter presented her debut collection as creative director in September 2025, as Wallpaper* notes. Her second, Fall 2026, was in stores by early September 2026, according to PurseBlog. Two collections in, there is enough of her work on the shelves to compare, and enough continuity to trust.
"The language of Bottega Veneta is intrecciato. And it is a metaphor"
Louise Trotter's Bottega: subtle evolution, not a reset
If you were hoping Louise Trotter's Bottega Veneta bags would look nothing like what came before, they will disappoint you. If you liked the house already, they are reassuring.
"The name of the game is subtle evolution."
The clearest example is the Veneta. The original 1970s bag came from co-founder Renzo Zengiaro and was slouchy and fluid, unlike the rigid handheld bags of its era, according to Highsnobiety. Trotter's debut reintroduced it in four new sizes and an updated texture, with Intrecciato in softly padded nappa. Same instinct, a softer hand.
Around it, the lineup has filled out:
- The Barbara Tote, a more structured woven tote with a detachable organising pouch and an internal hand mirror (Highsnobiety). A smaller version, the Small Barbara Tote, followed one of Trotter's first handbag designs (Wallpaper*).
- The Madison, named after the first Bottega Veneta store on Madison Avenue in New York, reimagines flap-front, chain-handle styles in Intrecciato (Wallpaper*).
- Il Mio, photographed by Drew Vickers, is described as the first major handbag campaign of Trotter's tenure and features five bags (Wallpaper*). Several are miniature takes on house classics.
The Fall 2026 bags
The second collection paired oversized silhouettes with smaller lady bags, top-handle bowlers, statement clutches and tasseled bucket bags, as PurseBlog reported. Three Bottega Veneta new bag names to know from it:
- Spicchio: curved lines, gold hardware and Intrecciato details, moving from shoulder bag to wrist wear.
- Elio: debuted on the runway, combining woven and smooth leather with a fringed zipper pull.
- 1998: a frame shape introduced earlier in 2026, shown in Intrecciato and grey ostrich.
"The bags, in contrast to the more exuberant ready-to-wear, were largely simple and refined"
What a Bottega Veneta bag costs: reported retail prices in 2026, by market
A word on how to read these. Each figure is a reported retail price, taken from editorial coverage on a specific date, in a single market. Prices vary by market and change over time, so a UK figure from June and a US figure from September are not a like-for-like comparison. Treat this as a dated snapshot, and check the house's own site for current figures where you live.
| Bag | Reported retail price | Market | Date | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Veneta (new, four sizes) | $3,100 to $9,100 | US | February 2026 | Highsnobiety |
| Mini Andiamo | £3,120 | UK | June 2026 | Wallpaper* |
| Small Campana | £3,100 | UK | June 2026 | Wallpaper* |
| Small Lauren 1980 | £3,210 | UK | June 2026 | Wallpaper* |
| Spicchio | $4,000 | US | September 2026 | PurseBlog |
| Small Elio | $7,300 | US | September 2026 | PurseBlog |
| 1998, grey ostrich | $14,900 | US | September 2026 | PurseBlog |
The Veneta range reflects its four sizes, as listed on the brand's US website in February 2026 and reported by Highsnobiety. The Corso is missing from the table on purpose: the launch coverage we drew on for it does not give a price, so we have not listed one.
The Andiamo and its new mini
The Andiamo is the bag for which former creative director Matthieu Blazy revived a metal knot emblem from the 1970s, according to Wallpaper*. That knot is the quickest way to recognise it across a room, and it is why the Andiamo still anchors most searches about the house.
The Mini Andiamo is a compact version of that bag. The reported Bottega Veneta Andiamo price for the mini was £3,120 in the UK in June 2026, per Wallpaper*. The difference is mostly one of occasion. The full Andiamo is a day bag with room to work. The mini is for evenings, when a phone, a card and a lipstick are the whole brief and the knot does the talking.
Between the two sits the Small Andiamo, the size for women who want the shape every day without carrying a weekend's worth of things.

This one is new, in Burgundy, a shade that reads as a neutral once you have worn it with navy, camel and grey. It moves from boardroom to boarding gate without asking you to change your plans around it.
Corso, Veneta, Campana: matching a shape to your days
Choosing between these is less about which is best and more about how you actually spend a Tuesday.
The Corso, for workdays
The Bottega Veneta Corso bag is Trotter's new tote from the Winter 2026 collection, according to Grazia USA. It has an enlarged Intrecciato in supple nappa at the centre, smooth leather panels on the sides and a suede-lined body, with the handle emerging directly from the body. At launch it came in seasonal shades led by Obsidian Grey and Sting, and in a lightweight hammered calfskin.
It comes in four sizes: Small, Medium, Large and Maxi. That range is the point. The Small suits a pared-back commute; the Large and Maxi are for days that start early and end late.
"Its volume runs generous while the construction stays pared back."
The Veneta, if you like a bag that gives
Is the new Veneta different from the original? In feel, yes; in spirit, no. It keeps the slouch of the 1970s design but now comes in padded nappa and four new sizes, per Highsnobiety. Across the Bottega Veneta Veneta bag sizes, the two ends tell you most: the smallest, the Baby Veneta, is designed to be held upside down, while the Maxi Veneta is worn over the shoulder. The first is a gesture; the second is a carryall.
The Campana and the small totes
The Small Campana is a miniature tote introduced for spring 2024, according to Wallpaper*. It suits women who like the order of a tote but not the weight of one. The Small Barbara Tote sits nearby, for those who prefer a little more structure.
| If your days look like | Consider | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Dinners, gallery openings, one coat pocket's worth of things | Mini Andiamo | The compact version of the Andiamo, knot and all |
| Long workdays with a commute | Corso | Generous volume, four sizes from Small to Maxi |
| Weekends, travel, a softer wardrobe | Veneta | Slouchy, from a Baby held upside down to a shoulder Maxi |
| Errands and lunches, a tidy small bag | Small Campana or Small Barbara Tote | Miniature totes with a more ordered shape |

One recent red carpet: the Baby Campana at the InStyle Imagemaker Awards
For a timely example of a small bag worn with serious outerwear, look to Hannah Einbinder. She attended the 3rd annual InStyle Imagemaker Awards at a private residence in Los Angeles on October 15, 2026, according to Complex. She was there to support her makeup artist, Molly Greenwald, and had won her first Emmy the year before, for Hacks.
The Bottega Veneta Baby Campana was the bag.
"sported the leather Intrecciato coat from Bottega Veneta’s Winter 2026 collection, alongside Allegra pumps and the Baby Campana bag"
The lesson is about proportion. When the coat carries the weave, a small bag lets it lead. It is a useful reminder for autumn dressing generally: the bag you choose in September often has to work with a coat that covers most of you by November.
Wearing a Bottega Veneta before you commit
These are bags you would expect to keep for years, woven by hand in a technique the house was founded on. If you have searched for a Bottega Veneta dupe, it is worth remembering that the weave is the house's signature craft, the thing its name was built on, and that the real question is usually which shape you would reach for most.
That question is hard to answer in a fitting room. A Corso can feel right on a Saturday and too much on a Wednesday. A Mini Andiamo can charm you, then sit in a drawer because your evenings are fewer than you thought. The only reliable test is time.
That is where wearing a shape first makes sense. Bottega Veneta is among the houses in the Saclyn closet, and you can reserve a bag for a week, a month or a season, or keep rotating through membership. It arrives the day before you need it, returns are prepaid both ways, and there is no minimum commitment. You can read the details in how Saclyn works.
If you are unsure where to begin, Margaux, our stylist, reads your taste in a short chat and gives you a Style DNA portrait, then suggests shapes with a point of view. She may tell you the Veneta suits you better than the bag you came for. A week with the right bag will tell you more than any price table. When you are ready, membership sets out the rest.
